Emerging 24-year-old writer, producer and artist Sawyer Utah began his musical journey writing songs in his bedroom at the age of 7. He was raised in the college town of La Crosse, Wisconsin, where he performed his first open mic at the age of 8. As he continued into middle school and high school, he mastered the art of engineering and production. Through family friends, Sawyer connected with music business veteran, Norbert Nix. He signed with Nix’s artist development and publishing enterprise, VISCYRL, and was fast-tracked into sessions in Los Angeles, New York, and Nashville.
Sawyer just released his latest singles "WHERE DO U GO?" (fastest growing single to date) & "tears & wishes", after he dropped his 7-song debut EP "WHEREVER U ARE ✭" in February through VISCYRL X / The Orchard. Sawyer’s own releases have surpassed 1M streams in just over a year, while his writing cuts have accumulated over 8M plays. Recently, his co-write for Zach Hood's "Simple Life” (Arista) reached over 100k streams in its first day .
Sawyer tours in Zach Hood's band as guitarist (most recently opening for Andy Grammer) and works as Zach's main collaborator/producer. Some of his most recent writing/production cuts include most recent major label writing/production cuts include "Beautiful As You" by Zach Hood, "Happy Ever After" by ROSIE & Zach Hood, as well as “Hole In My Pocket” by Zach Hood.
